Looked at revues on fun but none the wiser when you sell a van who pays there commission the buyer or seller thanks

I think you tell them what you want, they put their bit on top and advertise it ?
No idea really but that is what their rep told me

As Jaws says you give them a price you want and they add £2k roughly, they will then make you an offer from the buyer minus their amount.

Seller pays 10% of transaction value I beleive.

I bought my MoHo via them. It was advertised at X, and I went to see it. Met the sales rep and the owner. I then offered what I was willing to pay. Small discussion between rep and seller, then all agreed to my offer that was subject to good result to habitation check, (where I got another lump off).

So I didn’t have to negotiate then pay an additional percentage to Motorhome Depot.

I paid MoHo Depot, and they sort the money from there, and meet you when you collect.

That’s my experience anyway.

Andy.

Just remember that if you buy via them there's very little redress if something is wrong. They do offer a warranty but, at a price & its no different to a warranty that you'd buy yourself if your into that kind of thing.

A point to note though is that if the owner is prepared to accept the final figure minus about £2k that that's more likely to be the real value of the motorhome.
The actual owner is tied into a contract with the broker & cannot agree a deal with you within a time period specified by the broker.

It may be the real value of the motorhome, but still cheaper than a dealer, who will probably be adding more than £2k onto it.

For me I had to ask is a dealer warranty worth X£’s. To me no it’s not, I don’t trust them, Im miles away from where I would buy, and the system is far too complicated from what I’ve read on here. I was more reassured by meeting the couple that owned my MoHo,

But we are all different.

Not known by everyone but there are two separate companies , one called motorhome depot and one called motorhome department, now the first one has had a bit of a chequered past, but the second one I can personally vouch for as we have sold two vans through them , the main place is just up the road from Mo's place at Newport, we told him what we wanted and left it with him, he did all servicing, checking, habitation, provided his own warranty and advertised it at 3 grand more than we wanted, took a while but eventually it sold and we had a cheque through the post.
If you want to speak to the boss ,ask for Chris.

So they managed to get £21k for the van you tried to sell for £15k?

Wow.

Don't want to keep on about this but my son had a lot newer and fancier van sold through them for 35 grand, same as he paid for it two years earlier.

It was the same with the people who owned the one I bought.

They just didn’t want to deal with buyers, idiots, or eBay. So went via MoHo depot.

If you think mine was cheap , have a look at this one

The only contact I’ve had with Motorhome depot was when I seen a MH advertised with them
Which I was seriously interested in
The agent (Scottish agent) wanted a non refundable deposit (£500) on the MH before he would let me view it
I told him that that was offensive, he said I’ve seen the pictures & the description in 100% correct
He said he Wasn’t travelling 70 miles showing people the van & them not buying it
I am sure he was a rouge agent & other people have had better experiences with different agents
So for me I’ll never buy or sell through them , also close to retail price with without retail protection
