Motorhome storage.

Do people put their silver screens on when they leave their motorhome in storage.

Why?
The reason for using the external silver screen, is to keep the van (you) warm or cool rather than keep the window clean.
Leave it on the window and it will get dirty, leave it off and you can clean the window when you are ready to leave. Easier than cleaning the silver screen.

I do but that's mainly because I still (despite lots of effort) have not solved my water ingress on top of the engine (that old standard on every model Ducato disease).
The bottom of it covers the bottom of the screen and the bonnet upper edge and so keeps things dry (ish)
Despite my misgivings it seemed to survive the winter in good condition.

After just watching the fire at a caravan storage site I think silver screens are the least of your worries.
