Scam,premisis do not exist!

Just to add to the above there is not a dealer in the country with that amount of stock available unless they are doing something seriously badly

I live a couple of miles from them and whenever I've driven past they've always had a lot of stock - even during the 'shortage'.

Hmm, I know a sexy website can be set up by a twelve year old but they (Grant Trailers) have a very detailed web site, apparently they were established 11 years ago according to Companies House (as vehicle and trailer engineers), although in all the stock the photos are in different locations.

Could quite well be flogging / advertising vans on behalf of others and getting some $$ but if it smells its usually rotten.

You could run som of the numberplate through dvla to check for mot insurance and of course reports of being stolen 🙄

Scammers have cloned the business details. Chances are the actual owners of the physical business have no knowledge of what is being done.

I'm quite interested in the 2008 autotrail...with the 2014 facelift!

68 motorhomes in stock and the company has assets of less than 10k.... They must buy em very cheap!

I’d like to do this to our van, looks like a simple enough conversation with wings, bonnet lights and bumper …

Because they pay good money for decent vehicles.I sold my 3 year old Burstner to them for £10k more than offered by a large dealer on the South coast.Although with no replacement in sight, rather wishing I'd kept it 🤨

For anyone still viewing this thread. Grant Trailers Ltd was in no way associated with the selling of motorhomes etc. The company details were cloned and a scam website setup in their name. I had several domains shut down (grant-trailers.co.uk, granttrailers.co uk and grantmtc.com)

The legitimate company deals in servicing and repairs of commercial trailers only.

Sounds similar to a scam operation I was recently caught up in. It goes like this. You check out their website and see a vehicle you like. Very good price, ticks all the boxes. You ring them up. “Yes we’ve had quite a bit of interest in that one, so if you are interested genuinely then pay deposit and we’ll arrange a service and MOT for you and ring you to let you know when it’s ready. Should be in about a couple of weeks.” After a couple of weeks you’ve heard nothing so ring again and get “Yes, all ok, booked in for MOT on …” and on it goes and then (in my case) “Not happy selling car to you as we’ve unearthed some issues at the MOT stage. Please text over your bank details so we can refund your deposit.” And then you’re passed from pillar to post chasing refund of your deposit which of course never happens. In my case I got the banks fraud department involved and they refunded my deposit. I was lucky but the bank told me it’s quite a common scam technique, so even if they have premises don’t be fooled. Stick with a main reputable dealer. It’s safer in the long run.

I sold my Burstner to 4 front Motorhomes to them 2 months ago because they were local and the matched prices from other dealers down the south coast.

A decent price and money in my account before I left.

They do seem to mark them up quite a bit but then you should negotiate hard!

Overall a good experience for me!

I understand they trade under a number of names with other sites across the country and move stock between them.
