That looks like the car park across from Tesco. With 4 dedicated overnight motorhome parking. At least no serious injuries.

It's Tesco but it's a council carpark. We always park there, usually, along with another half dozen MoHo, trucks and coaches.

It would be helpful and reassuring to know exactly what happened, if only to reassure non motorhome owners that these are relatively rare occurrences considering the thousands of motorhomes currently in the UK. I hope the owner was not seriously injured.

Gas is incredibly safe if installed properly but I guess with self builds everyone has their own definition of 'properly' this below is not a van I would feel particularly safe in.

Stiletto heels definitely not to be recommended!

I can't believe the person who has done the 'conversion' (and I use that word very loosely!) thinks it is safe, that you can simply role up to a DVSA place and get it reclassified as a campervan/motorhome, and that there's actually a 'campervan' tax rate!

Oh and as for the weight ... 3440kg ... so where do the occupants, chattels etc go in order to keep it legal in use????

He/she has also got an instagram page showing his build, how it all works!

What planet is he/she on?????

The motorhome looks like a homemade conversion to me. I would question whether the gas installation has been done to a professional standard or indeed had it been certified by an expert. We motorhomers don't all want to be seen as a fire risk, it is imperative that any motorhome gas installation is certified as safe.
