Hi I am after some kind of fold down shelter or some kind of shelter I can have on my drive to keep motorhome in any one who does these or any one who will make bespoke one
7.52cm length
2.42cm width
2.99cm

I bought a large caravan cover and it fits my A class quite well, not perfect, but hell it was cheap. I have only used it a couple of times and used the van instead in winter, twice to Gibraltar for a couple of weeks . I cannot honestly think I can be bothered to put the cover on and off. it needs two to tango and getting the missus to help is a waste of time especially if it is cold out there.

I would have thought that any fold-down shelter would be unwieldy and heavy to cover a motorhome and be strong enough for any amount of wind

Thank you for your comments

Edit: Doh, thought you were looking for something for a motorbike,

Might a sort of covered car port type of arrangement be preferable?

You might need to check with the planning department first though.

I considered that when I was waiting delivery of our first van.

It wasn’t an option though as our drive was at least 3 metres too short for the van:rolleyes:

I looked at machine mart but like you said they didn't have height think I'll look into car port thanks for all help

My daughter got one of those for a mobility scooter, and it only lasted a year before the UV destroyed the fabric and the frame got wet and rusted away at the loops.

From memory I think you have to have two open sides for it to be classed as a
car port.
I used Polycarbonate sheets which are really strong but expensive.
In our case the car ports are attached to either side of the house with a 4x2 bolted to the wall which the rafters sit on at the other end the wall plate sits on 4x4 posts mounted in stainless steel shoes which are set in concrete.
Admittedly smaller than you require but larger beams = larger spans etc.

You can get a cover to fit from John Cross for about £160 soft material and you get your funsters discount lol ,worth a look lol.

You CAN look at Protec covers.. expensive, but VERY good. 3 layers and totally waterproof.
Made to measure.
Mitch.

Have a look at the Dancover website. Some of their storage units would fit your needs, although how you stop them blowing away in the wind beats me!!! Good luck!

You might try looking for companies that build bespoke timber agricultural buildings like this lot https://ascot-timber.co.uk/ if you like the look of them ask for Richard and say Chris the sax player sent you :)
