Good morning all, I have a question regarding motorhome floor repair. The underside of my motorhome floor on both side, behind the rear wheels need so work done . I’ve been advised that it needs a new layer of plywood , possibly 6mm marine ply, Also that maybe I should have the existing floor injected with some some chemical for wood hardening. Could anybody who has this done please enlighten so more. Many thanks In anticipation . S. Foley

When you say the floor is delaminating do you mean the internal floor or do you mean the underside of the motorhome? Often (but not always) the baser of the motorhome is marine ply which is attached to the chassis, then a layer of insulation, sometimes with additional cross members and then another layer of ply for the internal floor.
If it is the internal floor then you can buy delamination repair kits. Basically you drill holes approx 6 inches apart in a grid, pour/inject a resin then tap a dowel into the hole. Did the floor in mine a few years ago. Easy to do but a bit messy as the resin expands as it cures and you need to sand it all down before relaying the flooring.
If it is the underside of the motorhome then I do know that there are some kits available specifically for the underside but I would definitely go with replacement if at all possible, especially behind the rear wheels as the amount of spray that will be kicked up there would probably mean that a delamination repair would probably not last that long.
