Motorhome fire

A horrible sight to see hope the people are safe , but their pride and joy gone.

Apparently due to puncture, which sounds odd to me. But also odd is the “three” gas cylinders removed.

Twice I've had punctures on caravans where the tyre has shredded and the beads punched right through the floor so I can believe a puncher could start a fire.

My cynical mind has the word 'Travellers' going through it.

Don't know why but that seems a lot of cylinders to be carrying.

Tell me I'm wrong........

Did it say what size cylinder. Might be 3 little bottles as they can not get anything bigger in.

Why did you need that many cylinders?
Just asking.
We replaced our Alugas cylinders, on a whim:doh:when passing through Thirsk, with the later versions.
Then picked up the originals on our way back down south to take them to Lincoln where they were collected by another Funster. (y)

We have 3 cylinders, two on the gas-low system and one strapped in the garage for the Cadac.

Paul, are you sure that is an Autoquest 175? I thought the 175's had the rear section set apart without a window, also without an over cab area.

When we had an autosleeper Surrey, the gas locker held 3 cylinders.

Whatever van it is, seems someone had the foresight to get the 3 gas bottles out before the fire brigade arrived. Wise or stupid, i’m not sure!

I'd have no chance of getting my gas cylinders out by the time I'd got the wife and dog out and found a spanner, seeing how quickly they go up.
