Mont-Saint-Michel: the Beauvoir motorhome area closed for security (see here)

Since Saturday August 20, 2022, the Beauvoir motorhome area no longer opens its barrier to tourists. It is closed for one to two months for security reasons. Tourists who come to see Mont-Saint-Michel will nevertheless be able to park their motorhome for a day or night in the P8 car park of Mont-Saint-Michel. But it is forbidden to stay there.

The damaged electrical system

According to our colleagues in Ouest France, the motorhome area closed its doors on Saturday August 20, 2022 due to the faulty electrical system .
The owner group mentioned the same problem at the beginning of August, due to the high temperatures. For the sake of safety, Sodetour therefore prefers to close the area capable of receiving up to 140 vehicles, for €16.50 per night, for one to two months.

The nearest Aire is 4 km from the tourist site, in Ardevon.

Don't ask me for directions but there is a stop on the other side, we have been there from park4night, and very good view of the mount. And you can walk across at low tide.
