MiFi router & the micro sd slot (if applicable!)

What do you do with yours?
How easy is it to use?

I’ve just got a Huawei 5577 and there’s a position to add a micro sd card ?
I’ve got a spare 2GB card I can use but for what?
Do you use bigger cards and add media to it?

I've never used the micro SD card slot in any of my routers, I think they're just for transporting data/storing data.
