Mifi advice.

I have just bought a Hauwei Mifi and a Chromecast, hoping to get internet access and TV. Also hoping to remove my TV roof antenna.

As I understand it I need a tablet or laptop to access the Mifi and the Chromecast, there being no real display apart from the small panel on the Huawei Mifi.

I also understand I need a Mobile data SIM card.

I have managed to get things running after a bit of fumbling. I was disappointed to see I cannot access my Netflix house account or any of the programs stored on my Virgin Tivo box. I watched a vew movies via the Android 'Old Movies' App, although a bit jerky at times.

Is this pretty much what to expect from Mifi, do most folk keep there roof antenna.

Netflix won’t let you Chromecast it. You need a Firestick because that has Netflix app. There was also a thread recently about how to put Virgin Good on Firestick. I had Chromecast, but found Firestick much better for tv etc

You can put the Huawei app on a smartphone and don’t need anything to set up a Firestick, except an Amazon account.
