I bought an alloy wheel so I can make up a spare for my MoHo. I'd rather not rely on the gung/pump thing.

I need a Michelin Agilis CP - 225/75/R16CP tyre.

I have seen some disquieting info on buying online as some have suspected they got fake tyresrather than the pukka thing.

Do you know of any reliable suppliers online or should I trail around the local tyre depots fpr one?

Thanks

PS, then I've got to find somewhere to store it

That's only a C van tyre rather than a CP Camping tyre if that worries you.
Thanks for that.

I had a similar conversation with the tyre depot. They has a Continental in stock (didn't ask about the load rating I'm afraid) that was a bit cheaper than a Michelin. As a spare I'm sure it would have done, but suppose it became a bit more permanent if a tyre blew and I needed the spare until I could get a replacement?

I have gone for a Michelin so that I don't ever end up with an odd tyre. Is that a bit anal??

Thanks PeteH.

That was my next line of investigation - exactly what do I need to hang it under the van? It will go through the garage door but won't lie down on the floor so will block the door. Put in the van? - not really the best bet.

Undersling it? Yes, best option but what's needed?

This spare whell is growing ££££ legs

I bought a Ducato spare wheel carrier from fiat and bolted electricians galvanised unistrut to the chassis and bolted the carrier to that. Buy the repair kit carrier then you dont pay for the jack kit you probably have one.

I just got a piece of alloy plate (an old door kicking plate I had lying around) and made a bracket to bolt it inside the garage against the bulkhead wall it’s easy to get at you don’t have to crawl around under the van.?

Black Circles.com!
For my car I was quoted £1250 plus fitting from most people.
Black Circle supplied the tyres for £558 and it cost me £100 to get them fitted locally!
