Have just purchased a Mclouis Tandy 673, and am wondering how in the hell I empty the freshwater tank ? The dealers advice was to open the 'bung' ? There doesn't appear to be one ! Any thoughts

Hi and welcome to fun, your tanks should either have a bung normally in a corner or a tap somewhere outside.

We just ran the taps until ours emptied - different MH but same issue.

Thanx lorger can't find one anywhere only waste water tap ?
Gee bee Jaybee might have to do the same
Thanx people

Is there not a plug, possibly on a chain in the tank? If you access your tank which presumably is under one of the seats then you should be able to screw the top stopper off and ferret around at the bottom of the tank for either a plug or bung. Don't forget to roll your sleeve up!!!

In some , if you get the top bung off and feel in side you may feel a pipe sort of thing that goes from the bottom to nearly the top and that is the bung on the bottom you then unscrew the whole pipe thing and the bung comes out. Hth

In my McLouis I have 2 plastic switches under the seat by the hot water boiler (not by the fresh water tank). One you lift upwards so it's pointing towards you, the other turns so it's then in line with the pipe work. This will then drain hot and fresh water tanks. You need to make sure you haven't got the pump on. Don't know if yours is the same but hope this does help.

Hi we have a 671 to drain the water there is a blue control valve
In the Truma heater locker it has a switch on the top and turn it
Clockwise it should then drain the tank when empty turn switch
Back and press in button set below the top switch. Hope this helps
Instructions are in the Truma manual.
