But we have started by a wilding spot at Loch Cluanie followed by a night at Applecross campsite, we now have a fabulous one van spot right on Loch Torridon. Been in for a dip as well, okay with a light wetsuit. ?

First pic is the Bealach na Ba, doable in an 8m van. ?

Our house is about 3 miles further on from where you are. Last year a camper decided to find large stones and, once they had set up, put them up across that spot so no one could share it.

This is a braw spot, just about to have dinner al fresco. ??

Well didn’t manage to eat outside as the wee beasties came out in their hundreds, and they just come straight through the Mozzie nets too. ? Ended up having to close all the windows and hatches.

Nice day today so got the bike out and rode to RedPoint as we were told there was a cracking beach there and there is. When we got back to the car park there was an Aussie trying to move the bike so they could park, words were exchanged, bloody dickhead. ?

How busy is it at Sands? Thinking of maybe going later on in the week.

Cheers

Love The Sands at Gairloch been a couple times, the first time was in gale force winds but we sheltered in the dunes.

Went on a reccy with the bike before fishing, so here’s a gratuitous photo of the bike with a nice background. ?

The weather wasn’t very nice this Moro’s decided to move on, after filling up and a bit of shopping at Ullapool we have stopped at the campsite at Scourie. And the weather has turned out nice.

From Scourie we took the rib out to Handa Island to see the Puffins and the Bonxies (Skuas) which swoop down at you.

We have now moved up onto the North coast of Scotland, the road from Scourie to here was very busy. I’m not going to tell irnbru this one, I’ll let you find it for yourself. ?
And the midges have fairly subsided.?

The road from Tongue to Thurso was pretty boring and we have cut the corner by not going to John ‘o Groats, found a nice wee park up at Dunbeath looking towards the castle. Went for a walk along the shore to look at the cave and the castle.
