Upgrades!!! of course
After perusing all the options for getting a good mobile signal into our motorhome as well as a decent wifi connection when available I did a lot of looking around at the usual sites and suspects.
I ended up with this Maxview Roam system as it allows a good boost for mobile signals but also can be used to connect to a wifi hotspot while still keeping the motorhomes wifi set up.
It would seem to be the best of mobile/wifi together in one unit. The downside is its not so portable as the mi-fi units that others have as it needs a power supply either 12v cigar fitting or 240V-12v psu both supplied with the kit. As its staying in the motorhome this isn't a problem.

This is the unit.... <Broken link removed>

I'll fit it in myself and will comment on how it works over the next few months....

It’s been sat on my drive since fitting so not really had a chance to use it fully. However I have had a security camera hooked up to the WiFi and it sends my emails now and then mostly when the sun pops out so I know it’s working.

Hi, how are you getting on with the Roam? I am currently considering it. Has it improved 3/4G reception?
On wifi use, I saw somewhere that if the internet has a 'paid gateway' i.e. on some sites/places you need to pay for wifi on the entry page, that the Roam won't allow you to connect to these sites - have u found that? Thanks
