As far as I know you can overnight in the Upton on Severn car park. You will need to purchase a ticket from the machine near the entrance, I cannot remember how much the charge is. We have spent the night there on several occasions without any problems.

We stayed at a site about 8 miles away some years ago it was called the Riverside as its on the banks of the river severn ,it was a nice site with good facilities in fact I think it had a bar .
