Mains cable in battery compartment (1 Viewer)

Strange question but in the leisure battery compartment next to the passenger seat in my Hymer B584 is a mains lead with UK plug going off under the dashboard / carpet. I don't know where to or for what, any ideas?

Maybe in the past there was an inverter fitted inside the battery box and its been removed.
The plug and cable possibly go off to a separate mains socket that only works from the inverter.
That's similar to how we have one fitted.
