Just a heads up for anyone travelling on the M42 between Junction 5 (Solihull) and J6 (NEC / Airport) this weekend.
Just check if you are passing this way.
The M42 is planned to close in both directions between J5 and J6 from 10PM on Friday 30 September to 5AM on Monday 3 October.
National Highways are installing two new bridges across the M42 to create a new junction (5a).
All seems to be in place and ready to go. The diversion route will soon grind to a halt....
