New to Motorhoming in France but so far every LPG pump is on the left which means we will have to back in to fill up. Anyone else had this problem? What to do? Cheers

The ones I have used in France I have been able to drive either side of. I did ask for my filler to be on the left though as this means I can fill both derv and lpg at the same set of pumps without having to move. Oh and I found I had to pay for whichever I filled first, derv or lpg before I could fill the other. Something to do with the way the pumps are talking to the till.

We usually go in first and tell the cashier that we will be moving after filling up with gas because our diesel and LPG filler are on opposite sides. Never had problems in either France or Spain and only once have they suggested we pay for one fuel before moving the van to fill up with another.

We've always been able to find a pump on the offside where our filler is, apart from once in Dover when a BMW had been parked and left at the pump and we had to reverse in to the pump on the other side.

Like others, our LPG and derv (and water) are all on the same side. Rarely have a problem and in the UK can generally fill both before going to the cashier.
