HI all,

Anyone have any recommendations as we are picking up friends on Saturday and need a site nearby on Friday night?

Cheers

We stayed a week at Devesa Gardens in January (our second visit), about 20 mins south of Valencia on the coast. ACSI was €18 per night, restaurant, mini-market, pool, good facilities. Decent size pitches, some shaded.

There used to be a handy aire at El Saler but I can't find it on camper contact, has it gone?

Valencia Camper Park at Betera is good.
Just off the motorway on the edge of Valencia it is a glorified aire with a small cafe/restaurant.
Easy access to the city on the metro system which has a stop within walking distance and the reception can sell you tickets.
Very friendly staff and I seem to think it was about €10 per night last time we were there.

I would second that. Stayed a couple of days there last winter with a warm and helpful welcome. It has everything a motorhomer needs and it is extremely easy and cheap to access the city from there by metro.

We stayed 4 nights in Davesa Gardens. This is a lovely site with many facilities especially for children (of which there were many).

The downside was that mosquitoes enjoyed having us for dinner most nights and I have about 20 bites despite using high Deet lotion defenses. I suppose it's only natural considering it's next to the lagoon/canal and rice fields. Be ready for some noisy neighbours too.
