A new chapter in the wildlife of the Scottish Highlands. This news broke yesterday with the news of the release of a small number of wolves. It would be foolish to think that this is not going to create some degree of controversy. Bison have been present in this release are for some years now, but wolves??

I think that must be an April Fool hoax! I can't believe anyone would do such a thing without needing a skip load of permissions and licences? There would be Public Enquiries and meetings galore. Then again, the Otter seems to have been reintroduced on the sly and has gone on to ruin many fine fisheries with more to come.
