Lithium battery £96 , is it real?

It's a no brainer, just shop around Temu, AliExpress etc. and keep an eye on quality.
The problem is that most people don't have the means (skills and equipment) to reliably assess the quality of the stuff they buy. It's more or less a leap of faith.

Then Googled lens'd the nail gun, it's either from the same manufacturer, or, someone has gone to a lot of effort to "clone" a Makita nail gun, but never mentioned, hinted or inferred it's a clone in the advertising.

There’s been Makita clones out there for at least 25 years.

The plastic bodies used to be a slightly different colour blue.
The “travelers” used to sell them as genuine Makita 😂

Is Temu banned in USA? If so it will be unfortunate we won’t see Will Prowse do a year down and evaluation anytime soon
No.Trump removed the "items under $800 do not require customs duty to be paid" loophole so I believe they ,Shein ali xpress, etc, are going to local supply once shipped in . They do admit that it will reduce sales by a large amount.

As chaser has said before ,what is not to like about Temu? Order, if it's ok ,all well & good . don't want or it is junk then instant refunds & many times without needing to return stuff. It it has to be returned then they supply a print off label that you either just take to a pick up/drop off point locally or the post office.

The price of lithium batteries continues to fall.

I purchased a 100ah DC House (rebadged Ecoworthy) last year for £160 delivered from Amazon, so if we're now hitting the £100 mark I wouldn't be that surprised.
I did wonder whether those Dc batteries were actually ecoworthy .Thanks for confirming(y)

Yes - identical. Even the instruction booklet and the customer service email address supplied with the DC House battery is Ecoworthy.

There are a couple of youtube teardowns that also show that they are identical inside.

yes I came across one when I looked earlier
Is duty of any sort payable on items from Temu ?
No plus if it isn't delivered within the ten day window you get four quid credited to your account or 5 € here. Automatic no need even to ask,

Another thing is that if you wish to return stuff using 'chat¡ they will try to get you to keep it by offering discounts ,refunds, credits . all sorts .My wife used to do it all the time

when the page opens it's default is for one piece, if you click on 2 pieces, the price is shown as £197.81
Yeah I think the £100 is as good as it will get fora bit , more or less same as lead acid so why go less?

So much of what we buy is made in China nowadays anyway

I bought a cheap nail gun from Temu, my reasoning was I'm 64 and never needed a nail gun before, I needed one for a specific job, probably never need one again.

I bought one for the cost of hiring one for a couple days hire

It arrived in a decent box within a few days of ordering it.

It came with two Lithium battery packs that looked immediately like my Makita Lithium batteries, checked and they are identical, popped one into a Makita tool, perfect fit and worked, tried a Makita battery in my Temu nail gun, again perfect.

So result one, two more Makita'esq batteries and another charger.

Then Googled lens'd the nail gun, it's either from the same manufacturer, or, someone has gone to a lot of effort to "clone" a Makita nail gun, but never mentioned, hinted or inferred it's a clone in the advertising.

Works faultlessly cost me £70 delivered.

What amazes me most is I'm 64 and never needed a nail gun, and bought one for a project, but, how did I ever live with out one?

Virtually every job I'm given by Mrs VB I'm thinking "I could fix that with my nail gun!"

So Temu can be good
Good points well made.
Although now retired, my business continues to source products for multiple retailers in the UK. Its all from China now. One of my partners arrived in Shanghai again today to look at a factory for, I think, ride on lawnmowers. He goes 3/4 times a year. After 15 years and 2-3 40’ containers a week shipping, we know how this all works.
So. Assume the cost price to us in China will be about a third or less the UK consumer price. That allows shipping, uk transport, warehousing, taxes, profit margins and vat.
The specification of the item sourced varies based on component costs and how its designed/assembled. Thats why cheap power tools look like top brand units but mostly don’t last as long, or feel the same.
These batteries from Temu are very likely to be lower grade cells, bms etc, but will probably work ok. Temu’s selling methods cuts out a lot of importer/retail margin, so is cheaper.
For most of us, like eddie, we don’t need it to be top spec, so it makes sense to buy cheap. A lifep04 battery might be more of a safety risk if poorly assembled. But I doubt the cheaper UK imported ones are much better. If at all!

If these batteries could be used as starter batteries for tractors I would order one immediately ,what can it lose but don't really need one in the van and haven't got the room to put it anywhere.

ive just looked on temu 300 ah lithium for £109.90 this cant be real surely

I just typed lithium battery on the temu site
