Come to Germany! It's great for motorhoming/van life.
We have 2 x 100 Ah lithium leisure batteries. After full charge from the mains, during which time the reading on the control panel stays at 13.7-13.8, the voltage settles to 13.2 after disconnection.

At present we are on a CC site and have been on EHU for about 22 hours and are therefore fully charged and showing 13.8 volts. Other considerations apart, is OVERcharging possible? What is best for the batteries: to leave longer on EHU, which could be for two more days, or to disconnect now, reconnecting if and when needed?

Guidelines appreciated. Thanks.

The batteries are not overcharged & the charger can be left on indefinitely.
People assume that a 12v battery is just that but, if a battery was only showing 12v it would be dangerously discharged, your battery voltage charge is fine & healthy.
Relax & enjoy your time away

Lithium batteries CAN be overcharged. Not only that, but they should last far longer if they are not fully charged very often.

13.8v doesn't sound too high, but it would depend which LiFePO4 (I assume) batteries you have?

Mine are the same as Victron (charge wise) and can be charged to full at 14.2v, but are usually only charged to 13.6v. Relion, for example, can be charged 14.6v and a normal charge of 13.8v, others are different again.

As long as your batteries have protection against over charging (should have), and your charger is suitable, you should be fine.

My solar seems to take mine up to 14.6 and then they tend to rest around 13v 12.8
Flooded cells in mine though

Is 14.6v a bit high for flooded cells?
