For those in the know and running Linux Mint a new upgrade release has just been issued. 19.3 Tricia Cinnamon for me.
Took around 2-3 minutes to download and install on a 6-7 year old dual boot (with Windows 7 Pro) Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 cpu desktop. A reboot was required.
This was then followed by an update to the kernel which took a further 1-2 minutes.
A new icon now appears in the taskbar (System Reports) and it reported to add Xapp Status applet and update NVidia drivers however I ignored the latter as they didn't work well in 19.2!
I also added a few new optional packages to give them a try.
Apart from that all seems to have gone well.
So total time of 4-5 minutes (excluding reboot). Windows 10 Pro update yesterday on a faster machine was about 3x that!
