Likes or not ..

Jim, sometimes I want to acknowledge a post but liking is not appropriate.
For example, two posts today about members of funster’s families who have sadly passed.
As others have done I have used ‘i’ but it feels rather cold.
Any chance you could reconsider on a ?.

I was just thinking exactly the same, an acknowledgement of some sort.

Hi Years ago we had a "Sad" smiley, but in day to day uses it gets abused and used as an insult. In this instance, it's far better to respond and express simple condolences such as

• Accept my condolences
• My deepest sympathy
• I'm very saddened to hear of your loss
• I am so sorry for your loss

And then of course you can use emoticons like or?

Yes I put a like on my post today but it was to acknowledge all your kind thoughts all stay safe
