Interesting, I have heard great things about these little jump starters, however I cannot tell if the one pictured above is any good or not, maybe there is a review on google.
I know that Two on Tour (paul) has one similar and raves about it, maybe he will confirm what model he has and where he bought it from.
He even jump started a French man with his:rolleyes:

Hi Les, I have a NOCO Boost starter & when used properly its brilliant bit of kit, you simply pop it onto the ailing battery, switch it on & the important bit is to leave it for 5 or 10 mins before attempting to start.
It happily started my Sprinter who's battery was dead as the proverbial dodo, it did struggle but it did do the business.

The Lidl one is probably well up to the job & is certainly very cheap for what it should do.

Jump starting myself might be a bit more difficult, my battery has been flat for years!!!:unsure::roflmto:

Two different items, but the same price ? :wasntme:

I see that the jump starter one is 300A. I doubt this would start a 2 litre plus Diesel engine. It might start a small petrol engine. The Noco one I have is 1000A and has successfully started our Peugeot Boxer 2.3 deisel. Just be sure about the vehicle with which you intend to use the power pack.

Bit scary that!

After looking I’ve taken chance and purchased this one as feedback is good and price and engine size it starts ?

Don't forget the real starting current comes from the lead acid battery which is charged from the Lithium battery. Have a browse through this video and see how flimsy they are inside.

Fascinating video and well explained with clear Scottish diction.

I think I might have worn asbestos gloves but more difficult to work with on tiny componets.

He's a bit of a nutter but and knowledgeable and entertaining one. I think that once you have "Your Channel", you are an Internet Celeb and it can go to your head.

When Warhol said "15 mins of fame" the internet had not got going. Folk are much greedier now.
