I HAVE 2 LEISURE BATTERIES ONE IS CHARGED BY SOLAR PANEL THE OTHER BY THE VAN CHARGER CAN I connect both batteries together

Not sure how that works. So both batteries are separate from each other, so how do you use them. I guess you must have some sort of change over switching?

Hi……and welcome.

Are you sure they are both ‘leisure‘ batteries? If they’re not already connected together it sounds more likely that one is the Hab battery (leisure) and one is the Cab battery (van starter), unless as already mentioned you have some way of switching from one battery to the other.

A quick check would be to disconnect them and see if the engine starts.

2 Leisure batteries that are not connected together is an unusual setup, I think. However there are possible reasons why they will not be connected together. Rather than us trying to guess why they are separate, can you give us a bit more info. Maybe you have a battery and solar panel used for tent camping, and have now got a campervan, for example.
