Ledbury - overnight spot or campsite

Currently in Malvern enjoying the sunshine.. Considering moving on to Ledbury in the next day or so.

Finding it hard to find somewhere to overnight within walking distance of the town centre, either paid or unpaid.

Any suggestions?

I don’t think there’s anywhere within walking distance.

We often grab a pub stop on a bus route for visiting towns.
Alternatively the Elms CCC site just outside town.

You could try this. There are a couple of pubs that allow overnight no more than a couple of miles north of Ledbury that are listed in Search-for-Sites.

We are currently a bit further north on Clee Hill hoping for a nice sunset, no other campers up here yet (16:25).

The Elms is a ccc CS and claims to be within walking distance of Ledbury

Yes, we're parked up in West Malvern by the start of the path to the top of the beacon. Hoping for a sunset over the Black Mountains.

A reply to my own message of yesterday...

Beautiful sunset seen from Clee Hill, we were joined by at least fourteen other vehicles but no campers with occupants to see it but all went away soon after darkness began to fall. Mostly youngsters (aren't they all when we reach our seventies?) but apart from some litter louts amongst them all was peaceful.
A quiet night apart from the wind noise around our camper with the outside temperature dropping to a bit below 3 degrees now woken to a lovely sunrise.

Thanks for the suggestions. We've just had a couple of very relaxed days at The Elms CS site in Ledbury.

Very friendly and chatty owners. Well kept grass pitches. 15 minutes walk into Ledbury through a woodland path direct from the site.
