Site VERY motorhome friendly and free! @Lenny HB

As my son quoted when I sent him the photo
'my god, the one on the right has eyes just like mums when you say 'by the way I'm golfing with the pub lads in Portugal in October' '

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Now I see why you needed the space of the Grand Alpa:D

@Hellski
They aren't mine - they were in the pub we were eating in tonight. Gorgeous animals though.

We have an African Grey parrot and do t think the 2 would mix :whistle:

I thought it was going to be a thread about you importing your van not about sites & dogs.:ROFLMAO:
You obviously haven't learnt from Lenny very well, €11 for a site HOW MUCH!
Enough to give me a heart attack.

Cor blimey, giz a CHANCE Lenny, importing a van, its not even in the country yet :whistle:

I did try and pat the vat before import but HMRC didn't like that. What happened to their idea of improving cash flow - getting money in advance?

As long as you had the invoice they wouldn't know it wasn't in the country unless you told them.

I expect the vat will be sorted before you get your IVA anyway.

I wondered about that and spoke to them. They claimed they checked that it was in the country (non specific) and I didn't think it was worth the chance of getting it wrong to save 5 days. Hopefully it will all go through.

Re UK SPECS
The headlights look as if held by 3 screws, one of which has a guide to allow rotation. Am I correct in assuming this will move them to flat beam? Is there an idiots uide to checking which way they are set?

It has dual rear fogs

So just speedo to change (y)

Yep.
Point at a wall or garage door it will be obvious if kicking up to the right also easy to see when driving in the dark.

They will not adjust to flat beam but will adjust from 'down right' to 'down left.

take out the top screw which locates in one hole, loosen the other two screws, rotate the body of the headlamp(it will only go one way from where it is), replace the top screw in the alternative hole, tighten the other two screws. Check against a wall for correct dipping.

Geoff

Thanks Geoff

That is not correct. The normal pattern is for the beams to kick up on the pavement side to illuminate pedestrians. RHD kick up to the left & LHD kick up to the right.
Hella projector lamps which he has can be adjusted to a flat top beam, which is legal in all countries.

Well on all my vehicles the headlamps have always dipped away from oncoming vehicles to avoid blinding them. Thus why headlamps have beed described ad full beam or 'dipped'.

I know recently they are built to be central dip, but then surely there is no adjustment.

Unless you have very old vehicles they have been kicking up on the pedestrian side since the 90's. It is an asymetic beam that dips down from the cenre to the oncoming traffic side and up on the pedestrian side.

LHD vehicles used to central/flat dip back in the 60's/70's but that is long gone.

Hella projector lamps both RHD & LHD are adjustable for flat dipping.
On the Classic Hella you loosen 3 screws and rotate the unit a few degrees on the newer ones you just flip a lever on the back of the unit.

Also a lot of top range cars are adjustable for LHD/RHD driving.

OK I'm bored with headlights now!

Lenny - failed again I'm afraid to say

Tried a freebee but it wasn't a great spot.

Moved to a great location and it was €7.50

OK so the extras have been put back err mm let's say 2 hours due to overspend but hey ho
