Hi everyone,

I feel sure some will have experienced these sort of problems that I am having now. Water is leaking into the frame adjacent to the winder handle of the central roof light/vent. Drips can be seen coming through the gap between the winder housing and the frame as per pic below.

As far as I can see, by opening the vent until it’s nearly upright the seal around the vent seems to be in perfect condition!
Any ideas please, anyone?

many thanks in anticipation ???

We’ve just come back from the golf range and there was a surprising strong wind in one direction. Couple that with the heavy rain we had again earlier this morning could it have blown in?
Give us a ring if you want another pair of eyes :Eeek:

As Riverbankannie suggests. The roof light seal invariably works well but there's a ventilation gap above it into the gap between the two 'skins' or panes. In heavy rain water / high winds water can be blown in via these ventilation gaps.

We have the same and it’s its driving my hubby mad trying to sort it (hates to be defeated).

It has to be driving rain with a strong wind - coming from one particular direction only!

He has declared war now but waiting to summer to start the campaign in Ernest!

Thank you all for your comments and suggestions. When the rain stops for long enough I will have another look. At present I have a bowl strategically placed! From past experience I know that it also comes in when it’s snowing. Again that could be driven in by the wind.
