We stayed on this new overnight stopover a couple of weeks ago. It is all fairly level hardstanding over the whole of the parking area, which is very substantial as there are other spaces along the side heading to the water and Elsan emptying point. Both parking areas ' pitches ' are marked off by wooden battens which give plenty space to get the chairs out to enjoy the evening sun.
Although it is only about 50/60 yards off the main road there is next to no noise overnight. Never heard any noise overnight, even from the farm.
Be prepared for the chickens who appear very quickly once you park, as they look for some tasty treats from their visitors !!!!!, although they are no problem, just looking for some tit bits.
£10 for overnight parking with Elsan emptying and fresh water fillup.
£5 if you just want to stopoff and Elsan empty and fill with fresh water.
Both payable by Paypal. Easy to do , just follow the instructions on the posts.
Great additional facility. Will definately use again .

Currently at Blackpool an dheading up through the lakes/gretna .

Am heading up there to Skye the next few days, booked in this weekend.

It looks like the pitch could take at least an 8.5mt van. If you can get the far end pitch there is nothing in front plus the overhang behind each pitch gives loads of space as there is nothing to block.
The site is probably 10 minutes from the Skye bridge, so very handy if heading to Skye.

No view as such. The field on the left as you go up the driveway has horses in it. If you are nose in on the pitches there are fields in front of you, but there was nothing in them when we were there.
You can walk along the footpath back towards Balmacara, but there is a small village before that, I cannot remember the name, but there is a footpath that takes you to a small beach area.
The hotel has reopened in Balmacara but has started with a limited menu at the moment.

Ah wish I'd known about this might have used it but ended up at the community hall near Uig Ferry on Skye itself instead.
