Ive been on the internet and wondered if this device would enable me to watch netflix etc on my motorhome tv

A quick look on line suggests it is a Huawei 5577 MiFi with an antenna. The MiFi you can get for £63 on Amazon and if you are in an area with a strong mobile signal that should be all you need.

I don't know how good the Kuma antenna is but for a bit more money I would suggest fitting a proper external antenna on the roof. There's a link in my signature to the one I fitted which a few others on here have also fitted. Poynting also do smaller ones they call Pucks which would be a cheaper option. :)

Agree with John you only really need and aerial for remote locations. The Huawei Mifi is much better at picking up data signals than a phone.
We also have the Poynting roof mounted aerial we find it invaluable but we are often in the middle of nowhere or up in the mountains.

Edit:
I misread the post the Kuma is WiFi not data.
I have the same set up it looks identical the Alfa router is approx £50 and the same aerial is £14 on eBay.
Unless you are fairly techie can be a pain to set up.
Hardly ever use use it now as not many free connections that allow streaming and campsite WiFi is often useless for streaming.
Data is much more reliable.

The Huawei Mifi can be used for relaying WiFi.

What is your goal?
To improve wifi reception in prison camps?
To pick free wifi like Fon's etc?
To improve data reception.?

So is it data you are looking at using rather than wifi?

I don't want to sound like a numty (but i probably do) i have a tv which has netflix and other viewing apps which i stated in my first msg its for viewing this tv. So it must be data im looking for i know about the sim side of things

The MiFi I mentioned earlier, Huawei 5577, will create a local wifi signal in your MH. To get the data you need a phone sim card. There are many options and what is best depends on where you want to use the MH. If you are staying in the UK then something like one of the Vodafone unlimited data plans would be best. If going outside the UK there are no unlimited plans available that I've heard of from any UK supplier. I've got a Vodafone plan which gives me 50Gb a month in mainland Europe but I don't think this is available any more. As a guide 50Gb of data might give you about two hours viewing per day, perhaps a little more. It dpends what you are watching.

If you have a tablet then this can log in to your MiFI and you could watch TV using iPlayer, Netflix or one of the other apps you can get for ITV, Channel 4 etc.

You can watch on your TV and if you have an Android tablet you can get a Chromecast device which will plug into a USB socket on your TV and whatever is on the tablet will appear on the TV screen.

There are also "dongles" you can get which plug into your TV and would connect to the wifi. I have no experience of these but the Amazon Firestick can give you Netflix I believe and this might be the easiest way to set things up.

Thanks mate thats made things easier i was starting to think i needed a rub down with the news of the world
Many thanks Paul
