Just back from a fab week in West Wales. Kitchen tap leaking from the base. Not properly investigated yet. Anyone know whether we wd have to buy a complete new tap or whether we can get parts.... cd just seal around base but obviously leaking and don’t want cupboard beneath to get damp. We will investigate today but just wondered if anyone else had experienced this. TIA

Yes I’ve had this with bathroom tap last year.
Mine is a Reich tap.
Depending on the tap, you may be able to unscrew it.
Mine comes in three parts and all are screwed together.
It contains a cartridge which you can take out and replace - idea is to avoid having to buy the whole tap.
It maybe the cartridge that’s leaking.
If it is, make sure you replace with the same cartridge as they do different types and sizes.

Make sure you inspect the tap body.
They have a tendency to crack at the base - it’s usually a hairline crack that you can hardly see.
It’s commonly caused by not fully draining down the water over winter and leaving the tap open to expel all air and water when doing so.
Trapped water freezes and upon thaw it cracks the tap and you only know when you next come to use the tap and there’s a leak.

I ended up buying a new tap because of this.

Just had the same problem small hairline crack at base of tap. Awaiting delivery of new tap.

Have a browse on eBay for a new tap, you should be able to find the exact replacement.

If your wster system is pressurised and the tap isn't folding I would use a domestic tap all the caravan stuff is tat

Why have so many of us had this problem these last few months? I would have thought Winter was the time for these cracks. There must have been four threads or more on this, including me. :(
