I have an trailer with an ALKO AK7 pressed steel hitch.
It uses a small mortise lock to insert into the keyhole which prevents the hitch trigger being pressed.

You only ever get two keys. The key is titchy and no one seems able to cut it. Has anyone ever had one of these little locks and managed to get additional keys cut? I know they are not secure enough to deter a determined thief (who will simply unbolt the hitch completely), but it would deter the amateur trailer thief.

Cheers,

The cost for those replacement locks isn't much, and probably not that many different keys for them, if they have a number try and find a supplier and buy an identical lock, 😉 you will have 4 keys then. 😁 Bob.

Problem is that there are 999 possible key/lock combos...
