I have an trailer with an ALKO AK7 pressed steel hitch.
It uses a small mortise lock to insert into the keyhole which prevents the hitch trigger being pressed.
You only ever get two keys. The key is titchy and no one seems able to cut it. Has anyone ever had one of these little locks and managed to get additional keys cut? I know they are not secure enough to deter a determined thief (who will simply unbolt the hitch completely), but it would deter the amateur trailer thief.
Cheers,
