Rally July 17-22 2025 Woodside Field Anniversary Rally

First beer of the rally for us. View attachment 1089620

Locksbrook inn having done Bath and currently cycling along the Avon and Kennet canal before the disused railway line back.
You spending money in a pub, I would stop at a doctors on the way back and get something for it. 🤣

Tent and other Quackers essentials all packed away. Only a couple of hangers on remain awaiting eviction :)

Numbers were added bit down on previous years but that meant a great little rally with plenty of space. Ta muchly to Clivefog for the organisation and to Quackers & Mrs Quackers for having yet again being superb hosts (y)

£300 raised from such a small rally is truly amazing.

A massive thank you to Clive and all the team that volunteered their time and effort to put the rally together and then pack it away.

And not forgetting the assistant cook Dave2000 and suavecarve for his fundraising efforts on Charity night.

It has been so nice to witness all the smiling faces in the field, don't forget to book in for the Easter rally 2026.

Wonderful rally will definitely join you all again next time round on this lovely site.
Big shout out for the carrot cake smashing... I have to suffer this sort of nourishment every day of my life! It's been forty years now and people that know us cannot understand why I'm not carted round in a wheel barrow guess it's down to the jeans.. they get too tight when indulgence overcomes me.
Bye for now.

We thoroughly enjoyed the rally - it's always great to welcome old friends to the site and it was lovely to meet some new ones too.

The carrot cake was amazing! We run as a CL when we don't have rallies on so feel free to drop by with one of those any time you're passing :giggle:

Unfortunately no, failed on one tyre and two marker lights, but today it passed(y)
That was a bummer but all sorted.
Had a chuckle after what I said to you about checking the lights then take it for the MOT and it fails on lights.
No excuse for the tyre.

Sorry to be long coming back to this meet. But the site we was on was u/s for Internet. This was on of the best rally we have been to for a long time. Met some real helpfully funsters
But al so met some new friends. Even ones who can do jigsaw puzzles. We had a great time. So thank everybody that we met. And thanks to the people who ran it. We are sorry to say we will be back.

First an apology from GWAAC for not attending the rally, main lady was in hospital and support staff were needed for operational reasons.

Second as a thank you they have invited us to attended an open day at Almondsbury (M4/M5) interchange.

As a way to show our appreciation, I would love to invite you and members to an exclusive open day at our operational air base, offering you a unique chance to discover the lifesaving work we provide. Attendees expect a tour of the airbase by our Supporter Engagement Team, learn about a typical day for our Critical Care Team, and potentially meet the crew and view the helicopter and critical care car up close.

Thank you for this information Clive. The majority of the rallies at Woodside Field have supported The Great Western Air Ambulance Charity and I hope this can continue.

It would be fantastic if we can get a few Funsters together to attend the visit on 20th August, first of all would any of our local gang like to attend.

Or any other Funster that has attended one of the many rallies here. We can offer a free night at Woodside field if you have to travel and would like to attend the event, but we will need confirmation within the next few days..
