Funsters who struggle to receive UK TV in southern Spain / Portugal now have a partial solution.
As STV HD (Scottish ITV1) is now on Astra2 Europe beam. Corrie/Emmerdale/BGT etc.

Tune Astra 2 to 12090V 27500 2/3 VPID=519 APID=647 STV EAST
+ 12012V 27500 2/3 VPID=517 APID=642 STV NORTH
" " " VPID=518 APID=646 STV Tayside

I don't know about snipe, but presume you could do a full scan.
My post is aimed at funsters in southern Europe.

Will not stay on the Euro beam for long...either they go free to view sky card needed), or they will move to the UK beam soon.

I am in Antibes and just done a full scan and can not pick up any of the normal UK channels BBC, ITV, channel4, channel 5, plus lots of others missing I usually get

As i predicted, the three widebeam FTA versions of STV HD are now encrypted and need a sky viewing card to access...
they remain on the euro beam, so can still be accessed on small ish dishes in south spain and portugal, but you need a sky card to access

And now it looks like those STVs are being moved around, moved to another frequency, perhaps in preparation for a move to a uk beam transponder
