Looks like we might have wall to wall rain next week on our Normandy trip . I doubt (please let me know otherwise) if there’s much access to launderettes so any top tips for drying clothes in the MH. (And yep I’m expecting all the witty and sarki ones ;-))

There are some supermarkets that have slot machine laundrette machines set up in the car parks you can just pull up put your washing in and wait till it’s done?

Oh , cool, I’ll look out for them

Some of the Intermarche supermarkets have laundrettes but a search on Google Maps for "laverie" will throw up plenty of places. Ideally, find one which takes contactless payment because otherwise you will need lots of coins.

Get one of those hangers with lots of pegs on. We use that for small things, but also larger items, even towels, clipped onto several pegs. Things dry quicker when the air can circulate. Also one of those stretchy twisted washing lines (from a camping shop) to stretch across part of the van.
Hang things in the shower so they are out of the way but air can circulate. Our shower has a hot air vent so things dry really quickly when the heating is on.

How long you going over for Jewellbags?
I remember being at The NEC looking at trading in the caravan for our first MH, met a guy, who had obviously travelled extensively around France & Spain.(scruffy bugger):giggle: When I questioned him on the Pro's & Con's of travelling across Europe in a MH,the Two things he said to me that I will always remember was 1. Just do it, dont over think it.... & 2. wear the same tee shirt until it stands up on its own, throw it away & buy another one.
You know he may have a point there, it might be cheaper to buy a new tee shirt than pay for a laundry machine:giggle:

Not exactly environmentally friendly ;-) . I think when it’s warmer I’ll be In the same Jean shorts and vest for a fortnight ... I might even rinse my pants out .

We have a couple of small microfibre towels that live just inside the door for wiping down wet coats. If it’s going to be vile just make sure you have waterproof waterproofs (!) and invest in a pair of waterproof trousers ... to be honest that should keep you dry and warm and therefore hopefully happy.

You sound a bit to posh for me. Ever hoping...

We have bought a couple of full body condoms ( wet gear from the camping shop - look like a couple of umpalumpas but we will be dry - just sweaty and very uncool looking

You forgot the clothes - probably made in the Far East. :)

Just for info our local unmanned service station here in Stranraer has a self service laundromat and a large car park. It's opposite the Lidl.

Well that’s handy for my Scottish trip :-)
