As per the title,..... Is there a paper version of the Passenger Locator Form for coming back to the UK
I have the French honour statement downloaded and ready to fill in but cannot seem to find a paper version of the brit PLF

For all I know we might not be able to travel at all come January, or indeed the requirements for PLF and two day tets might have been dropped by the time we are due to return in March, but I do like to sort out what paper work I can as soon as pos.

I’m not aware of a paper PLF. Can’t you just print it from the computer? You could then just show this printed copy if anyone asked to see it.

Complete the passenger locator form online

You can include multiple journeys in your form if you’ll enter the UK more than once in a 48-hour period.

It is a criminal offence to provide false or deliberately misleading information when filling out your passenger locator form. You could be fined, imprisoned or both if you do not provide accurate details about the countries you have visited in the 10 days before you arrived in the UK.
After you complete the form you will receive a QR code via email. You can print this out or show it on your phone as proof of completion.

And if no smart fone ?
Hence the requirement for a paper version...........

BTW, we both have the required fone but lack of data when abroad

It's possible to create an account which you can pre- fill with most of the information, name, address, passport number etc, but you cannot fill in your return journey details until 48 hours before the actual arrival in the UK. If you don't have data then you need to find an available wi-fi, McDonald's for example, have free WiFi at all their restaurants. It's easier if you have all your travel dates, times etc to hand. You also need to be able to upload the qr code for your second vaccine so a print out of that is VERY useful. I did ours on Friday at our hotel on my phone before flying back home yesterday. Once completed you receive an email with a PDF attached. Download this pdf and save it to you phone to show at check in. If your travelling on the tunnel you can upload the pdf to the Eurotunnel website.

Can you not do it on a pc & print off the QR code?

If not at home, perhaps a site reception office may help.
Or an Internet cafe?

If your phones are capable, but data is the issue, the why not just buy a cheap pre-paid sim?
Hardly a huge expense in the scheme of stuff.

How does it work for oldies without smart phones ?

Hmmmmmmmmmm..............
I can see us giving up with all the squit and simply staying at home again
Don't let it all put you off, it's really not too bad if you just take your time and work through the answers.
You could even get someone at home to do it all for you and email you the pdf 👍

We are also short of data.
We find a wifi place (bar?), complete the form and take a screenshot.

Problem sorted, no more data required 😎

We were over in july for 3 weeks, going again on Tuesday for 11 weeks , and back again in march fo 89 days. 😎

All flying 'til the van is back on the road 😩

The QR code reading function refused to work for us when we were trying to complete the form the day before we arrived in Calais. In the end, I did a screenshot of my vaccination QR code from the French Anti COVID app and saved it to files and then uploaded it using the choose file button. Frankly it was a complete ball ache.

I don't have (want) a Smart phone (or a camera) and would have to take my laptop and printer into a McDonalds or use a camp site's WiFi.
Alternatively, without the printer I could pass my laptop to the person at the check-in kiosk to show them the QR email on my laptop screen.
Alternatively, if I didn't take my laptop and printer I could have the emailed QR sent to a cooperative camp site's email address and hopefully they'd print it out for me.
I thoroughly resent being forced to buy a Smartphone that I don't want and feel there are grounds for action on the basis of discrimination since it's mostly older folk who don't have/want/need Smartphones.
Like Jaws and even though I've only motorhomed abroad during the past 15 years I just CBA'd with it. If this carries on next season I'm getting out of motorhoming.
Alternatively, I could just come back in a rubber dinghy.

Be careful. A friend of mine did that but the screenshot only shows the parts visible at that time. The reference number for the pre booked test wasn't visible. As he couldn't show the reference number he was not allowed to board, he had to wait a week for the next available ferry.

We make sure all relevant info is on the screenshot, even doing a scrollshot if necessary to capture all that is needed.

It has worked for us for 2 trips, but understand that it's not for everyone.... 😎🍷

Showing the locator form on your laptop should be perfectly acceptable. The rules say in a printed or electronic format.

I don't have one either. No mobile reception where we live and the touch screens don't work for me - hospital specialist recons it's due to a combination of my iron rich blood and "ghost" skin. Alarms go off when I walk into shops never mind when I leave and airport security is a nightmare.

See, this is it.. I really cant be ar@@ed with all the faffing about.. Find wifi, find an internet cafe,. cannot doo at the camp site cos it has got to be done within 48 hours of crossing etc etc etc
And I am buggered if I am gonna go through all the rubbish of finding and paying for a local sim... It costs enough as it is with everything going up and the stupid 2 day tests on top

Do be fooled by being told you need a QR code for you vaccinations. It simply isn’t true.
At one point in the form you will be asked if you have a QR code of your vaccinations just tick the no box and you will be moved on to the next section. It saved us loads of faffing around.

It’s a huge hassle. For us, it was manageable using a combination of 2 smartphones and a MacBook. You should manage without the MacBook but I haven’t manage to get my phone to save pdfs to files.
I think that having someone at home to help you is an excellent idea. It would ne a huge shame if you missed out on travelling abroad. We’re just back and it felt as if we were really living again rather than treading water.

What phone do you have?

Honestly it’s not difficult. It took me perhaps 20 minutes to do both of ours and I did it wrong at least three times.
As I said earlier when asked if you have a QR code tick no. It saves loads of faffing about time.
As long as you have your passports for the numbers etc, know your train time ish and have the codes of you two day after return tests it very straight forward.
Don’t try to fill it in more than two days before you return as it stops you at some point and is then difficult to get back to.
I was even drinking beer whilst filling ours in.

Fair enough.
I wouldn't be either
Just one of the reasons I only MH in the UK (and very happy doing so).

Just spent ages filling in the forms as far as poss and saving them off, ready for when its needed only to be told nope, gotta be done a max of 48 hours before I travel and all data will be deleted if I do not return and complete it within 7 days

I can think of a few things I would rather have wasted a Sunday afternoon on than being led up the garden path by a crap govt driven web site
