50 years of boating, just one on motorhomes.
Most days when I go onto the Forum I check the Portugal page to see if anything new is there, and particularly (because I live here) to see if anyone needs help or advice.

There are hardly ever any posts. Does no one tour here?
 
We love Portugal it’s to hot there at the moment we usually go over winter months particularly like Castro Verde area😊

David, it's nice to know there is a funster there willing and able to help if needed. I will keep you in mind for our next trip and winter stay in the Algarve.

We spend 3-6 months there most years and have done for the last 12 years (excluding the Covid years) and love it. Although due to time of year we generally go we spend a majority of it in the South we have toured most regions as well.

Just type Portugal into the search (top right of screen) and loads of threads come up.

Quite regularly there are posts mentioning Portugal. Maybe it's because you've only been a subscriber for 4 months you haven't seen many. Several posters also live there. Using the 'What's New' button will bring up all new posts as they are posted.

Hi DavidCh, we have just got back from a week in Carvoeira, such a beautiful place. We flew with family and stayed in a villa at Villa Sol. We are going to tour Portugal ( September/October) although don’t know how far south we’ll get. Can’t wait as it’s so chilled, you are lucky to live there. Whilst we were there though we were surprised to see so many motorhomes driving though the bottom of town!!!!! So narrow 🙈😂
 
It is mad here in August as the hoards descend from the North of Portugal. It seems pretty laid back about campers as I see them parked all over the place and no one moves them on. I think you have to really annoy someone to have a problem. There are also a remarkable number of spots 'off piste' where we see a couple of campers. Look us up if you get this far.

It’s not a matter of intelligence, only of being ”in the know”.
True story. In court, the advocate went to great lengths to explain something to the judge. At the end, the judge said “thank you miss X for the explanation, but I am none the wiser!” To which the advocate replied “no, my Lord, but better informed! “🤣

We have made the classic mistake of traveling all over Europe but not exploring our own country! :-( I will be really interested to know how you get on

Go to the Forums list. Choose 'Continental Touring' and then 'Portugal' from the drop-down list.

We went to Portugal for the first time last October and November staying on a mix of aires and campsites. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Will be going back next autumn (if we’re spared 🤞)
 
I hope portugal isnt a black hole as we just decided to move there…. Oh and while looking fir our home the MHF Collective saw the sticker on our window and “outed us”.

You can run but you cant hide….
