I got the ferry to Dublin back in early August, and took a wrong turn out of the port, ending up on the M50. The M50 is the only motorway in Ireland with camera tolls, and you get till 8PM the next day to find somewhere to pay. I was in the middle of nowhere, in Kerry, on the next day, but did eventually manage to find a small supermarket where I paid €3.50 at 11AM.

Fast forward 3 months, to November 2nd. I got a letter from 'EPC PLC' who represent eflow in the UK, demanding £8.54, by October 17th. I managed to find the payment receipt (I saw it coming!), eventually, and scanned it, and filled in EPC's web form. I also attached an invoice for £70.83 for my time.

A couple of days later I got another demand, which had now increased to £50.78. Today I had an email telling me that they had cancelled the case, but things would have been a lot more complicated if I hadn't kept the receipt.

I gave them until 2nd December to pay my invoice before taking it to a county court... let's see how that goes

It has happened to us twice now.
Always keep the receipt for at least 6 months.
I think the problem is sometimes caused by the automatic cameras thinking that your motorhome is a commercial van.
(Motorhomes should be charged the same rate as a car, which is less than a commercial van)

For future reference - you can also pay online.

Yes I just google eflow and pay online, remembering is the problem!

I did try that on the phone. They wanted a lot of information which I felt wasn't appropriate to simply pay a toll (why would you want to give your name, address, email, phone number, and so on, to a toll operator?), and it refused to take my card details. A lot of small shops will let you pay without hassle. If it works, of course.
