Iqmedia dab radio not working

Hi just purchased a Pilote v600g with Iq media touch screen.
Dab radio says no service after only 1 day.
Dealer has no idea well that was a waste of 62k.
Does anyone have any ideas plzterry

DAB is not available everywhere
Does your system receive normal FM

Hi yes it does.
I got the van the night before going to Isle of Wight.
I noticed it didn't work there.
So I waited till home a week later but no joy. Took unit out of dash to see if any obvious wires detached but all seems ok.

Probably needs a DAB Ariel
There isn’t DAB radio in France so Pilote only fit standard radio antennas .
I have the same problem on my pioneer system works just fine but only on FM

Hi mate.
It did work in Midlands and down to Southampton but stopped in Isle of Wight and not since returning.

you could ask your dealer to change the antennae that might cure the problem , however If its working on FM they'll probably tell you its fine

Hi ,yes it does but scans then says no service.
Dealer can't get me in too busy.
Good job I only paid 62k.

Got a 740 and the radio is sh11t it was better in the old auto trail we had dab is very intermittent as is fm , pilote put a dab aerial on the near side but doesn't really help, would change it but other half would go ape sh11t if she knew I was going to spend around £500 on one .

I know what you mean,I don't have another half but I've already paid 62k and I'm very disappointed .

Is Your radio is working on normal FM and receiving radio stations ?

Most probably needs a modification. Le Voyageur have the same problem and have come up with a solution. Apparently DAB is not available in France? The aerial is not earthed correctly to receive DAB. It needs a metal "bonding" plate on the roof and I guess then a new aerial along with a longer lead. Pester your dealer for modifications. Pilote and Le Voyageur are made by the same company.

France has been broadcasting DAB since 2014.
France and other Euro countries use a different band for DAB than the UK so you have to change it on your receiver.
Band L for France & Band 3 for UK.
