Here's one that's confusing me! In the last couple of hours both mine & Mrs Simbadogs ipads are having trouble connecting to wifi, find it briefly & then keep saying no connection! However, Iphones are fine & both laptop & desktop systems are working OK ????

I had the opposite , iphone and ipad could stay connected, but anything android or windows would loose connection or find internet unavailable... It was caused by having turned mains electric off to do some diy , and the router getting upset. Took some time to stablise

Need to switch off your iPad to reboot it. Clear your cookies or it could just be a weak bandwidth on your wifi

Not sure if our system is unusual and I am a complete tech idiot, but our routers generate either a 2.4 or 5.0 something or other option GHz ?

Our apple stuff works best on the 2.4 option

no idea what that means or if it helps, just trying to assist ?

how about using phones as hot spots, is the option any better maybe?

To reboot turn off as usual

to reboot press on / off Switch + round home button
release home then on /off

Or turn WiFi off on phone/pad
Wait a minute then turn it on again

somtimes it’s the router Is not connected although
z it looks like it the lights are on
But nothing is there which means reboot that also

:welcome4: :mis: :coffee: :coffee::coffee:

Think 2.4 is a slower connection/network speed in comparison to the 5.0, but the 2.4 typically has better range, especially if going through objects such as walls, floors etc to get to/from router.

5Ghz is generally a less crowded frequency so will run quicker but doesn’t have great range.
My iPad sometimes falls of the network for no apparent reason.
I find if I get it to forget the network and rejoin that usually sorts it out.
Sometimes a software update can make it throw an ‘ipaddy’
