Morning all! Just back from second break in our Burstner, everything good apart from windscreen condensation!
S'pose as mornings getting a tad cooler, gonna happen, and the answer is put on the heating or get a thermal screen cover.
not used previously, and which is the most effective, internal or external? It's a sprinter cab.
Any thoughts appreciated!

I use Pingo desiccant bags from Amazon. One each side of the cab, by the delisted vents. Work well and a quick microwave to regenerate.

We do have silver screens external cover and they are very effective. However we are very lazy so unless we are parked up for 5 days or more we use are remis internal blinds, heating and a cloth!

We have both.

If its very hot or cold then the external screen is much better at keeping the temperature inside as required.

We can put the external one on in about 1 minute,
It depends on where we are parked and the season before we put it on.

I never put it on if there may be a need to depart in a hurry, such as campsites on rivers when it's raining, or Aires or Stealth camping.

It’s not the putting on, it’s the removing when it’s wet and cold!

We're both, used as required.Sometimes inners, some times outers, occasionally both. Also sometimes none, just pull our heavy duty lined curtains across on a pole where the bulkhead would have been, usually reserved for a power knap on an Aire, or lay-by.

A Moho screen seems to generate ‘gallons’ of condensation and I always worried when some of it disappeared down the gap between the dash top and the screen itself (what’s down there - ‘leccy stuff?)
We now use Remis internal and silver screen external
A side benefit of the external one is that it deflects rainwater over the scuttle and the vent/grille thingys in the bonnet so keeps the engine bay drier

If you do get a window vac, check out the different length blade options. I bought the Karcher one which has a smaller blade which makes it easier to use and not get the sucked water into the motor.

I've got all angles covered, Carthago insulated front blind, home made silver bubble insulation internal front cover and external front and side/door covers, I've also got external bubble insulation for the plastic windows to keep the heat out.

External silver screens for us now the temperature is starting to drop in the night. Stops the issue of internal condensation.

I find it much bette to cure the cause rather tthan the symtoms.

If its getting cold at night put the heating on for a while and then open the doors for a while to blow the hot damp air out.

No moisture in the air - No condensation.

And the effect is cumulative - the more you do it, the drier it becomes.

You're going to have to hold your breath for a long time 😁

That’s what we have just adopted 👍

We have internal blinds and use a window vac for condensation when required. Earlier this year we bought a ‘truck size’ internal reflective silver screen from Temu for a fiver, which we put on the outside for when it’s hot and sunny, which has worked well to keep the MH cooler.

I don’t want a big (cumbersome?) outside one that is going to be a pain to store when wet.
