Should really be surprised but..
Just changed the insurance from a BMW R1200 GS LC ( value £11k ) to a 500 3 wheeled scoot ( value £8k ) An EXTRA £139 !
And warned the yearly premium will rise to more than £200
My Blackbird with declared mods is £96 a year..
Where DO they get their figures from!!!! ?

You’re ignoring the fact that no one wants to nick a GS (?) and it’s a well known fact that scrotes nick scooters to get up to nefarious activities. ?

Phew... I have 5 Bikes insured with Peter James, £225 that's unlimited milage with full uk and European recovery, BMW K75, Kawasaki W800 and a W650, Honda CX500 and a 1954 Redditch built Royal Enfield 350cc Bullet.

Honda Blackbird, Sym 125 Scoot, 1200 GS all the same policy cost me About £150. How the hell they can rate a 500 three wheeled scoot with 44 whole BH as more of a risk is just baffling

Possibly even a minor prang can do ££££££££ of damage to something so complex.

And, since car drivers can ride them they may have had horrendous experience of them.

Did search for cheap chinese 400 single, 220 quid. Fully Comp.

Cos off road type bikes are the most stolen percentage wise. Far higher than even scoots
