Hello , I am new to this forum and seeking advice. I'm getting a new campervan and intend to live in it fulltime for 2 years. I'm selling my house and am in the process of buying a flat to keep in the property market , in the meantime I am going to use a correspondence address of a relative. I am confused from reading posts on this forum whether I should be honest about living in the van when getting insurance as someone posted that if you admit to living in a van the warranty will become void.
What should I do ?

There are several members who full time who may be able to clear this up.
I don’t full time but I have never heard of a restriction on your new van warranty based on the amount of time you spend in it.
If you have noted that specific point on this forum by a member I would suggest you directly ask them where that info came from and then check the sources yourself

Hello and welcome. Best of luck with your new venture and how sensible keeping one foot on the housing ladder, smart move that.

Welcome.

Are you suggesting that there are people on this forum who would encourage dishonesty? Shame on you :giggle:

In this case I would suggest a careful read of the terms and conditions of your warranty or, better still, go straight to whoever underwrites it and ask them (in writing). I guess it is possible that there are limitations on live aboards (old yachtie saying) because you would likely do many more miles than the average moho and there would be increased wear and tear but you won't know until you ask.
