Insulating water pipes

Thinking of insulating pipe runs especially to the shower which is furthest from boiler, has anyone done this?
water seems to cool of a fair bit between wetting down and rinsing off after soaping up so think insulating might help

insulation is def a good idea but at a guess you probably find the temp difference is the result of a full boiler of hot water being cooled "slightly" by the addition of cold top up water being added as the hot is used.
