Ingleton. Another MH friendly Council

Just discovered this place this afternoon.

Ingleton Community Centre Car Park.

Very handy for village centre with shops, pubs etc. Including a Community Bakery which we just managed to catch before it closed.... Well you feel obliged to support these places don't you!!

We've just come from Ingleton, just over the other side of the cricket pitch outside the white swan pub there is free parking overnight with an honesty box on the exterior pub wall, monies to charities.
50 yards from the one you mention is another large car park which we also used, a green motorhome merc Vario 614 D home conversion got a fixed penalty notice in there this morning at 9.45am, they had been there all weekend though without a ticket so serves them right.

Craven Council is one which responded positively to constructive dialogue, from a number of people, several years ago. Sad to see that some people still abuse such measures as it gives ammunition to those who do not want facilities to be provided.

This is a nice quiet stopover only a few minutes away from the village center so because you don't have to drive you have the opportunity to contribute significantly to the profits of its pubs, as well as its shops and cafes. Well done Craven Council! (And yes, I did buy a ticket!)

This one and 2 others (Skipton & Settle ) was brought about by a friend of ours who works for Craven Council. Who also happens to be a motorhomer ?

Please thank your friend for their work setting up these stopovers, it is very much appreciated. (Are there any motorhome 'local hero' or similar awards?!). One hopes that other local authorities will see the benefits of encouraging motorhomers, although I'm sure it'll be a long time before we catch up with the Europeans.

?good on them, we love going to malham but have to park on the road for free as no overnite parking on the car park there, would gladly pay to stop on there
