Want to check my type pressures but local garage ones only go up to 60psi and I need 62 / 65psi.

There is a 12v compressor in the van which I can use but is that the normal approach and don't bother with garage ones?

Thanks

You need to find another fuel station, our local one goes up to 80psi. When I tried with 12volt compressor it took ages and then died on the first tyre.

OK, so there are some that go to more than 60 then. I'll have to look out for one. Thanks.

I bought one of these rechargeable bad boys from Aldi last year.

It works great, with a Max working pressure: of 6 bar (87psi)

I gave up on garage air lines years ago for several reasons, not all of which apply to all.
1. Max pressure too low
2. Hose too short to reach both sides of a large vehicle .
3. Inaccurate pressure guages.
4. Charging for air.
5. Impatient other users

I now have a large two cylinder 12v pump which I rarely have to use and a cordless rechargeable one which is brilliant for a top up.
There is also the point that tyre pressure needs to be measured when the tyre is cold. If you've just driven to the garage it won't be

I use something very similar, vanhaus brand I think it is. My son bought it as a birthday present. Told me was about £29 off Amazon. Does my motorhome tyres ok and I run at 65-68 psi.

I have one of these...

https://www.ringautomotive.com/en/product/RTG3

And one of these for home use off the mains...

Amazon product ASIN B00133VDCM
Which works ok, but likely an old, now superseded model. Could worth looking at the Ring Automotive website?

I am now curious about those rechargeable handheld pumps, but what’s the battery duration like, can you typically do all tyres on one charge?

I gave up on 12 volt inflators after spending £50 on an RAC and £30 on a Ring, both with claims of rapid inflation and very high psi/bar. They took forever to do anything above 50psi then burnt themselves out.
