We are currently in Burford and have a few days in the Cotswolds. We are looking to visit other places like Bourton and Stowe and are wondering about places to park a 7 metre coachbuilt. We are also trying to find campsites with easy access (walk or cycle) but are finding a lot of club sites are closed. We are currently on an independent campsite within walking distance of Burford. Has anyone else done similar.

I think the car park next to Birdland in BOW will be ok, not many people around this time of year.

Try asking in a pub with a largish carpark a la Britstops? If you have a drink/meal most will let you stay overnight. Done it a couple of times in that area.

Just out of Bourton is a trading estate going towards Stow it’s very quite there at the weekend.

If you get into Chelteham there’s a good site called Briars I think.
If you want a side road just outside Cheltenham pm me and I’ll give you the post code

Bourton FC club house opens 7pm fresh water/black water cheap bear compared to the Town pubs.(y)

Station Road in Bourton used to have dedicated coach and motorhome parking when we were there a few years back and probably still does from what I can see. Very easy walk into town.

If you're interested in mechanical instruments and their history it's worth visiting what used to be Keith Harding's at Northwich, the website makes no mention of him now but he was getting on a bit when we met him by chance as we'd parked our van almost blocking his drive.

There's a bit of parking on the town square or just round the corner from the museum in Farmington Road a small car park where we squeezed in.

Have a great week Dave...we're in Southport at the moment (Wether spoons to be more specific), and will be at our daughters (in the Cotswolds) later this month.

Now at Bourton FC in the rain. Have parked on their car park as not sure if I'd get off the grass. Car park adjacent to Bird land has height barriers so couldn't park there.

Just parked up at Morton C and M site. Will look out for any Funster stickers!
