There have been a few sightings of these wee cuties (weasel) around our patch recently; not evident until this year when we've also had an explosion of rabbits and huge voles. ??? due to a bit of fox culling that went on last year??? This one, taken on Sunday, didn't seem in the least perturbed by my being within about a metre. Very cute and tiny (20-27 cm long) but can take down said giant voles and full-grown rabbits! Territorially they have an area of 10 to 20 acres.

Some one we met on one of our trips said the wildlife got used to humans not being as much of a threat during lockdown. The sites we have been on recently have had a lot more squirrels and young rabbits wandering about during the day. Sadly it has also meant they are being caught out on the roads now the cars are back in larger numbers.

Managements friend sent her a picture of a hedgehog eating her cats food in her kitchen. It uses the cat flap to get into the house. She lives in an ex RAF housing estate in the middle of no were but this is a first.
