IH N-class habitation door lock

We are able to lock and unlock our habitation door OK using the the central locking. We can lock the door OK manually from the inside, but cannot unlock it manually from the inside. Don't know if it is faulty or if we are doing something wrong?! Anyone able to help please.

I think your habitation door and locking system may be a Hartal made item ,if so , these are used on many Motorhomes , if possible , a photo of the door handle/lock may help with some information regarding its locking/unlocking operation.

You have some replies to your Facebook post on IH Owners, double pull seems to be the trick. Ours is original sliding door.

I am going to Malvern show in August with the Owners Club. A great weekend to pick up tips and tricks and normally (pre-covid) the owners of the business attend and bring an engineer so fixes can be done. I cannot promise that that will happen this year though.

Thanks, I have just looked at the replies. Their suggestions of double pull works if the door is locked using central locking, not if you lock it manually!
